Theme song for Jupiter in Pisces

“Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream…merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.”

Jupiter represents the jolly archetype who likes to roam free and doesn’t take life too seriously.

Now that Jupiter has wandered into the water sign of Pisces, this Jovian planet’s uplifting and philosophical nature is immersed in the realm of dreamscapes. As the original ruler of Pisces (prior to Neptune’s discovery), Jupiter feels right at home in this visionary space.

Faith and compassion become more important than hard-nosed reasoning…

Intuition is heightened at the expense of logic…

Linear thought processes dissolve and drift away…

Thus it seems to me that “Row, row, row your boat” is an appropriate soundtrack for Jupiter’s sojourn in the sign of the fish. The song goes round and round, like a circle that feeds on itself.  Goals lose focus, and the struggle for personal glory gives way to a stream-of-consciousness mode of being.

Those with a Piscean emphasis in their own birth charts will experience these effects more than others, but everyone has the sign of Pisces somewhere in their chart. No one is entirely immune to the influence, which will last until June 6th. Jupiter then barrels ahead into Aries before doing the retrograde dance back into Pisces on Sept. 8th, where it remains until January 22, 2011.

Pisces, sign of the fish

This is the time to dream big dreams. There’ll be plenty of motivation to take action once Jupiter leaves Pisces for the fast-paced sign of the Ram. For now, it’s best to go with the flow and retreat from the regular ego challenges of daily life. This is a one-in-twelve-years opportunity to make room for the quiet voice of our own subconscious, whispering of the interconnectedness of all things.
